This past weekend, Nina and I took a short trip to Tucson to celebrate our belated anniversary. Our 6 year wedding anniversary was on August 24, but we never had a chance to do anything, so this was our chance.
On Thursday night we went to see The Swell Season play at the Rialto Theater in downtown Tucson. The Swell Season is basically the guy and the girl from the movie Once. It's a great movie, and the music is equally great.
Friday and Saturday we hiked around the Sabino Canyon area. Now that summer is over, it is starting to cool off a bit. So now we have to get back outside and work off our summer fat. You see, here in AZ, we get fat in the summer because it's too damn hot to do anything outside. The rest of the year is our time to be active outside, which for us means hiking.
