caching the day away

Today started out with an hour of golf lessons; Chipping and putting. We did ok, I think I might have the putting thing down.

After that we decided to take a hike. Actually hike and cache. We picked a trail on South Mountain that we never hiked before, and it just happens to have several caches. Sweet!

We hiked to an area called Hidden Valley. In this area you will find Fat Man's Pass and a Tunnel. We were intrigued, which is why we chose this hike.

Yes that small crevice is on the trail and yes you have to go sideways to fit.

This is the tunnel, its not as small as it looks in the picture, I didn't have to duck.

We found 4 caches along our route. Our 5 mile route. We scrambled up and over rocks to get to them and the views were quite rewarding.

The long hike took us all afternoon and when we got back to the car it was almost time for the sun to set. What better of a place to be for sunset than on South Mt. We drove to a lookout point and watched the sun go down.
