Here are a few things I have learned about the midwest:
1. There is no cell signal
2. There are no friggin Starbucks
3. They don't sell diet iced tea at their mini marts, which go by the name Kum n' Go (I kid you not).
4. Gas is $2.57 for regular.
We left Kentucky this morning and drove through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and some of Oklahoma. They all sucked but once we got through Oklahoma City the landscape finally stopped looking like MD and started to look like the midwest should. It stopped raining and it got warmer. Here is Brian to add his thoughts on the day.

We started the day by driving through St. Louis. We looked for Nelly and the other Saint Lunatics, but they were nowhere to be seen. The rest of the drive was very uneventful. We didn't pee in the car and neither did any of the cats. Actually the cats were very good. They were well behaved the entire day. That makes the drive much easier to bear. Thank you to everyone who has posted comments on here. It's nice to hear from everyone, and I'm glad that people are reading this. Here are a few pictures.

Oh no, Dewey's in jail.

The only thing cool about St. Louis (the arch, not the bridge).

The ring is us. The cat food is Baltimore and Phoenix.

Sweet a Kum and Go!
Are the floors sticky there?
In a recent poll, Phoenix hosts the rudest drivers in ther country-after Miami. So be careful driving...you should expect no turn signals, people honking/cutting you off, as well as unaware cell phone motorists!
-you should have moved to Tampa, U-Fudge-Nuts
That's better than the Toot N' Scoot in Murrysville.
Let us know if you get out of texas.
i've heard that they are thinking about moving the new border patrol up to the texas line and just writing off that state as an extension of mexico.
You did not post on Wednesday! How will we know where you were on Wednesday? Did the cats pee? Are you stuck in some Texan jail because of your anti-Bush bumper stickers? Should we send out a search party or do you need bail money???
I got a text message from Nina around 8:30 their time and they had about 2 hours left to go to get to Phoenix. Brian probably hasn't figured out how to hook up the interwebs in their apartment yet...
let's hope they were even allowed to enter AZ as the prez is hanging out there all day today, scoping out the illegals.
security for their "types" may mean "no entry" for crazy liberals with cats in their car.
Yep, apparently there's a lot of Road Rage in The Valley of the Sun. Here's an article: http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?StoryID=20060517-024610-2690r
