Hohokam People

Today we went to a museum that is a few blocks from us. It is about the Hohokam people, the natives that lived here first. It was a cool little museum and it was located next to a large hohokam ruin. We braved the heat (it was friggin hot) and walked some of the trail to check out the ruins.

Heres what they thought the village looked like

Here is what it is now

Here are some planes landing over the ruins
Here is Brian being a wuss about the heat
After we did this, we went swimming. The funny thing about here is that when you go swimming its so refreshing but when you get out of the pool, you freeze. It was hot, like 112 degrees and we were standing next to the pool in the full sun wrapped in towels freezing. The rapid evaporation from your skin makes you so chilly, its nut balls.
We filled the other parts of our day watching Lost. We borrowed season 1 from Taylor and we are so hooked. I mean I am thinking I could skip sleep and just burn through the last 3 discs just to figure out what is going on. Is Locke a good guy? Is Claire gone for good? Do Jack and Kate hook up? So many questions. We have season 2 on our netflix list so we will be ready to go for season 3. Awesome.
