One more try

Tonight we went back to Papago Park. Brian was very brave to agree to try another hike in this park. This time we went to the opposite side of the park, away from the attack bees.
We went on a short walk up to hole in the rock. From there you can see downtown and South Mountain.

After we explored there we walked around more of the park nearby. We had never been here and did not know what to expect but it was great. The park has small fishing ponds and several paths to hike around. It was supposed to rain tonight so there were a lot of clouds around which made for cool colors at sunset.

Here are a few things I am learning about this area:
-no one has those gay-ass magnet ribbons on their cars
-no one has any political stickers on their cars
-no one uses turn signals
-no one lets you in on the highways
-when theres a chance for rain they interrupt the show you are watching to tell you and then during the news you hear about it every 3 seconds. Not only do you hear it from the news desk but also the guy in the helicopter and the lady on location with the wind blowing her hair.
-every day 300 people move here to the valley
-people here walk slow, not like east coasters who walk with purpose (right Nikole?)
